Samsung S7330 Review
Someone at Samsung must be really fond of the Soul design and, honestly, we can see why. How we feel about it is not the point though. The Soul looks ...

Fed Up with Spam?
Written by Kristin
Monday, 15 January 2007

Fed Up with Spam? Spam is definitely a problem for all the internet users because the e-mail account is full with advertising messages or even with infected attachments. That’s why all the software developers are continuously working to design a powerful solution that can protect our systems against these unwanted messages. You should know that the Internet contains multiple ways for spamming, the e-mail being only one of the targets. Some time ago, I wrote an article about the blog spamming that attacked blog owners with a lot of comments. At that time, bloggers used the captcha feature to block all the programs that posted the messages automatically so the issue was already fixed.

Windows Mobile for iPhone???
Written by Kristin
Monday, 15 January 2007

Windows Mobile for iPhoneI’ve just read in Softpedia that Windows Mobile is available even for iPhone now. SmileSounds very awkward, I know that, but believe me it really is the truth. If you own a mobile phone running a Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition you will be able to have a hands-on experience with the iPhone interface.

The ones that want to make their phone look like Apple's mobile handset will only have to install an iPhone look-a-like skin developed for the Microsoft Windows smartphone platform by a very talented WM5 user on the xda-developers forum.

Nokia E65 gets a Green Light from FCC
Written by Kristin

Nokia E65 After a pretty eventful Consumer Electronics Show where Nokia launched several mobile phones, it is time to hear about another phone, that didn't quite make the CES this year, but which will be out on the market pretty soon.

The E-series slider phone, Nokia E65, was mentioned before, but not much information was provided. Well, Nokia was really making plans for the E65, and the phone is now close to being released, because it has just been approved by the Federal Communications Commission.

Sony Ericsson booth tour
Written by Kristin

Sony Ericsson booth tourTo call our tour of Sony Ericsson's booth at CES a "booth tour" is giving it entirely too much credit; for some reason, the world's fourth-largest manufacturer of mobile phones was relegated to a single meager kiosk within Sony's sprawling grounds (along with a handful of tie-ins with other Sony products strewn about elsewhere). Highlights included the ultra-glossy, ultra-colorful W200 clamshell, the MBR-100 A2DP music receiver, and some much-needed quality time with the recently intro'd MBW-100 watch. Sadly, the W880 "Ai" wasn't on hand, but that gives us something to look forward to, right?

Will the iPhone support Exchange Direct Push?
Written by Kristin
Monday, 15 January 2007
iPhoneDuring the Jobsnote, Steve said that the iPhone would support many different email systems including Exchange -- and as we well know, the most precious Exchange feature to a mobile user is Direct Push, which allows your device to receive updates instantly for email and other data from your server. Steve did specifically mention that the iPhone would support Push-IMAP from Yahoo, but didn't mention any details about Exchange Direct Push like the Windows Mobile phones have. To many, this is the killer app for business users and it isn't too much of a stretch to believe that Apple could include it on the hot new iPhone.

White Blackberry Pearl for T-Mobile
Written by Kristin
Monday, 15 January 2007

White Blackberry Pearl for T-MobileWhen hearing the name “Blackberry” one would expect the device with the same name to be black. It doesn't mean that it can't have another color, but it would be more logical that way.

While Cingular announced their standard black version of Blackberry Pearl, T-Mobile seems to be one step ahead of everyone else and concentrate more on the actual name of the phone, “Pearl”, planning to release a white version of the same handheld.

Japan: "iPhone? What's the fuss?"
Written by Kristin
Sunday, 14 January 2007

While technophiles the world over got worked up and hyperventilated at Steve Jobs' announcement of the iPhone, the Japanese simply looked up a while from their keitai, then went on with their business. And the reason for this? The fact that the iPhone has nothing new to offer to them.
