BitTorrent BitTorrent Inc. announced that it has bought out competing BitTorrent client Torrent. BitTorrent is a popular peer-to-peer file distribution protocol used by many applications, including Torrent and the official BitTorrent Inc. client. It works by breaking files up into many small blocks and intelligently shuffling those blocks across a distributed swarm of clients. In practice that means download speeds increase as more people download which is directly opposite of how most internet downloads work.

TIANYU A699 TIANYU is the Chinese manufacturer's new touchscreen-enabled candybar just the same. It has the 220 x 176 display and the 1.3 megapixel camera is perfectly average, and the 64MB of internal memory with microSD expansion merely ho-hum, but the integrated FM radio, A2DP, and touchscreen with Chinese character recognition are pretty nifty.

Visiontac VGPS-700Visiontac VGPS-700  is another pretty small and stylish GPS receiver. The first is the Navicore, which just barely beats out the Visiontac in a volume competition.

How does this one compare to the Navicore? The Visiontac comes out to be 23,574 cubic millimeters, and the Navicore is 21,120 cubic millimeters.
