Cell Phones Get Ready For Prime TimeCell phone carriers such as Sprint Nextel, Vodafone and Verizon are taking their first steps toward full-fledged mobile advertising. And with good reason.

According to market research firm ABI Research, advertisers are poised to spend $1.95 billion by 2011 to deliver ads to North American phones.

Mobile Search gains the paceMore and more people started using their mobiles to search in Google and other searching engines.

One of the reasons is the big progress in new possibilities of handsets that support EDGE (offered by Cingular, T-Mobile) or EV-DO (by Sprint, Verizon, Alltel).

Research organizations claim that mobile search will gain even greater popularity as well as the rest phone’s possibilities.

BitTorrent going mobile?

BitTorrent BitTorrent Inc. announced that it has bought out competing BitTorrent client Torrent. BitTorrent is a popular peer-to-peer file distribution protocol used by many applications, including Torrent and the official BitTorrent Inc. client. It works by breaking files up into many small blocks and intelligently shuffling those blocks across a distributed swarm of clients. In practice that means download speeds increase as more people download which is directly opposite of how most internet downloads work.

TIANYU A699 TIANYU is the Chinese manufacturer's new touchscreen-enabled candybar just the same. It has the 220 x 176 display and the 1.3 megapixel camera is perfectly average, and the 64MB of internal memory with microSD expansion merely ho-hum, but the integrated FM radio, A2DP, and touchscreen with Chinese character recognition are pretty nifty.

Visiontac VGPS-700Visiontac VGPS-700  is another pretty small and stylish GPS receiver. The first is the Navicore, which just barely beats out the Visiontac in a volume competition.

How does this one compare to the Navicore? The Visiontac comes out to be 23,574 cubic millimeters, and the Navicore is 21,120 cubic millimeters.

Nokia N93i got a Green light from FCC

Nokia N93iOther than the un-confirm model name N93i, the phone should be confirmed and queued for released now. The info posted on FCC unveiled the front LCD design, which is a small LCD bar to display basic information.

Similar to the Nokia N93, the N93i will feature the same 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 3x optical zoom. Its body design will be slightly different with mirror effect front cover, smaller phone body size and new RAZR keypad. It also added a small LCD screen at the front, letting you know who is calling you without open the clamshell phone.
