Scartel (brand Yota), Russian provider of Mobile WiMAX, and HTC today officially announced the HTC MAX 4G, the world’s first integrated GSM/WiMAX handset. The HTC MAX 4G was first leaked early last month as HTC T8290. It has a mix of HTC Touch Diamond and Touch HD design, comes with a 3.8-inch display screen, 800 x 480 WVGA resolution, built in WiFi and Bluetooth. |

Samsung is releasing another awesome phone. But the world’s leading company in the mobile industry has only released it for the Korean market. The rest of the world that wants it, can only wish, hope and wait. The W6050 is a new 5 megapixel device which supports 5.76 Mbit/s HSUPA with 3G. |

Building on the Nokia E71 messaging phone, Nokia introduces the Nokia E63 today and will begin shipping in the coming weeks for an estimated retail price of EUR 199, before taxes and subsidies. The Nokia E63 will do EDGE/WiFi connection and comes without HSDPA connection and GPS. With a lower price it also uses a 2 megapixel camera module with fixed focusing. The phone will be available in ruby red and ultramarine blue colors. |

Samsung announced the availability of the Samsung Behold, an advanced touch screen phone with premium multimedia features and full web browsing capabilities, exclusively through T-Mobile USA. The Behold is available in a brushed espresso or light rose finish, comes with the virtual QWERTY touchpad and multiple messaging capabilities, including text, multimedia messaging, instant messaging, e-mail and Audio Postcard support. In addition, the microSD memory card slot allows for easy storage of videos, images or music up to 16 GB. |

Designer Heikki Juvonen has considered handsets ergonomics when he design the concept in the future. The phone is said to be perfectly balanced in hand with all the heavy components. You will get a better grip of this phone but that doesn’t mean you would like it. It’s a little to weird for my taste but you might like the concept. And it will remain a concept for quite a while since I didn’t hear Nokia announcing anytime soon. |

While the US had the Samsung m540 aka Slyde available for purchase for quite some time, the cellphone was launched in Canada very recently, thanks to Telus. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard is one of the best features on the m540, but the included software - My Email and Messenger 2.0 - is also a good bonus. Phone details include GPS, a 2-megapixel camera, and a 2.1-inch screen. |
