AT&T was releasing all sorts of phones today. One of those phones was focused on messaging and messaging alone. It’s called the AT&T Quickfire and it sort of looks like a Sidekick, but not quite. The Quickfire supports the 3G network, giving users ample access to AT&T’s Mobile Music service. It also sports a full QWERTY keyboard, which is pretty much the “messaging” part. I can’t say that I love this one, but it’s not terrible. It features a 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen display, 1.3-megapixel camera, can record video and has a microSD card slot. The Quickfire will be available in November in orange, lime and silver. It will cost $99.99 after a mail-in rebate and after signing a two-year contract. Source |
