FCC approves HTC Iris PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 15 November 2007

Sample ImageThe FCC has just given its nod of approval for CDMA-enabled HTC Iris. It will be powered by the Windows Mobile 6 Standard operating system and looks somewhat like one of the Android prototypes. Features include a landscape QVGA display, a QWERTY keyboard, EV-DO, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera and a microSD memory card slot. Needless to say, with all those functions within, you can be sure that the HTC Iris will also require a relatively large battery.

While there is no official announcement just yet, FCC documents do have a sprinkling of the name Verizon, giving away an obvious clue to its proposed carrier.
