Although there is a lot less hype than what surrounded the iPhone 3G, Google’s first mobile device sure has many people stoked about what can be expected and what is rumored. We saw a video a while back of what the UI might look like, a potential release date, and now this. AndroidGuys have unearthed a few credible-looking specs for the HTC Dream G1 that aren’t too shabby. Apparently, T-Mobile is still in the picture and will be handing them out for $199 to whoever has a GMail account and opts for a two-year contract, but the release date has been pushed another month to October 13th. As for specs, here’s a list of what could be seen when it becomes available in black, white, or brown: Quad-band 850/1800 and 950/1900 network capability with 3G, HSDPA, UMTS, and SPL support. 528MHz Qualcomm 7201 processor with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM Touchscreen display Arc-sliding QWERTY keyboard WiFi 802.11b/g Google Maps (GPS?), StreetView, and YouTube support 3.1-megapixel camera with no video recording MicroSD support with 1GB memory card preloaded Support for applications via Android marketplace At $199, these specifications sound too good to be true, but we better hold on to our horses until all or some of these are confirmed by Google, HTC, or T-Mobile.
