Here is one more cell phone destined for a Korea-only life. The Pantech IM-U300K is a clamshell that is HSDPA capable with WCDMA global roaming and video calling. There is also the usual suite of applications like an mp3 player, electronic dictionary, and a document viewer. But what sets it apart isn’t the terrestrial DMB TV or the passable 2-megapixel camera but the 49 LED dots that are present on the front folder of the IM-U300K. These LEDs have the ability to form personalized icons/messages for 15 different situations including receiving messages, alarm, and caller identification. Furthermore, users can also create their own personalized icons with the bundled PC Sync Tool. The IM-U300K Neon-Sign phone will be available in a choice of white, sky blue, and black on Korea’s KTF mobile network although there is no information on when. Source |
