Sony Ericsson TM506 Handset to Support T-Mobile’s AWS Spectrum |

As T-Mobile continues deploying its 3G network across the country, Sony Ericsson has decided to add one more affordable 3G cell phone to its network, one that also supports the upcoming AWS (advanced wireless spectrum) 1700 band, the TM506. We knew that this clamshell is capable of supporting triband 850/1800/1900 GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA 1700/2100, but the AWS support was not brought to light until the official press release now. An ideal solution for customers looking a cheap 3G fix and a 2.0-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and microSD slot to complement it. The TM506 is scheduled for a release on September 3rd at an undetermined price.  Source |
