The Nokia company have applied for a patent on the new mobile technology that will allow a user to call emergency automatically by pressing two buttons on the sides of a phone. The pressing of the buttons triggers the in-built camera and recorder. As a result the camera takes pictures of the locality and recorder will record the surrounding sounds. Then the person is located with the help of GPRS and the position data will be transferred to emergency centre together with photos and audio records. All this will allow to simplify the search of the victim. The company representative Damian Stathonokos stated – we are not going to implement the technology in all of our phones though the realization of the system is possible in future. We are constantly developing new technologies in our research centres to and patent them to protect our intellectual property. topwords.com
