The Cingular company, mobile market leader in USA, started selling smartphone with the latest version of MS Windows – 5.0. The smartphone Cingular 2125 (manufactured by the High Tech Computer company but having Cingular label) came into the market about a week ago.
It costs around $199. Palm and UTStarcom companies are already selling the phones with Windows 5.0 but they are as a rule considerably more expensive and having as a target group mainly businesspeople. Besides in the first half of the year Microsoft plans to present an update package for Windows 5.0, which will allow to synchronize phone with email Microsoft client and would provide rather advanced possibilities in correspondence processing.
