Both museums and libraries are very conservative as to the cell phone usage. They like silent visitors without cellulars that never stop ringing. But you can not stop technical progress so some decided to make use of it. A new service called Museum Guide was launched in USA which is tightly connected with cell phones. Now a museum visitor does not need to look for/hire a guide to enjoy the information about the precious and highly artistic exhibit. One needs to dial a certain number and wait for the voice mail to answer. After that a museum you are in should be indicated on which the information about the museum and the exhibit will be read. An interesting point is that the service is absolutely free…for now.
