Samsung Electronics plans to resort to legal actions against handset makers, distributors and brand vendors in Taiwan, China and Hong Kong for alleged infringement of its handset designs and patented technologies, according to a February 7 report of the Chinese-language Commercial Times. Samsung Taiwan has confirmed that its parent company will begin to take legal actions against alleged patent violators in Taiwan and their contract makers in China starting this month, the paper indicated.
