For a long time Japanese home market of portable devices was a special one for the main participants were Japanese companies. But the year 2006 brought an end to this situation as the three Korean manufacturers Samsung, LG and Pantech announced their intention to sell their cell phones on the territory of Japan. The first company deigned to enter the Japanese territory with its cell phone was Pantech. The first model came into the market in December 2005. Samsung announced cooperation with Vodafone which would provide trading network for Samsung cell phones. Besides in about a month LG promises to present the first phone intended for Japanese market. It is hard to estimate the perspectives of the three Korean companies on the Japanese territory for now however the competition on the Japanese market which is already rather tough will increase, which fact will provoke appearance of more advanced phones from Japanese manufacturers. Though to face the truth the Korean manufacturers do not stand a chance for the Japanese back up domestics. For instance we can recall the results of Xbox sales which failed because Japanese waited for Sony PlayStation. topwords.com
