Written by Mike
Thursday, 24 April 2008

Sample ImageAt this year's Mobile World Congress, LG was keen to promote its latest handset, the LG KF600, which features a split-screen design. We were just as keen to get our hands on this mobile, as interesting as it looked. Would we find its functionality to be as intriguing as its appearance? The LG KF600 is currently available on Orange, free on a monthly contract.

LG KE970 Shine Review PDF Print E-mail

Saturday, 12 April 2008

Sample ImageLG was founded in 1958 by the name of Goldstar and in November 1962 the first Goldstar telephone was launched in Korea followed by a refrigerator and a black and white television. In March 1968 the first overseas company was founded in New York. And the 13th of April 1978 Goldstar became the first company in electronics that reached an export figure of 100 million dollars. They changed their name from Goldstar to LG Electronics in March 1995. LG Electronics are currently market leader on the field of electronics in Korea and claim a considerable market share in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and England where they have been active for some years now. This year, in January 2007 to be precise, LG introduced the LG KE970 Shine. The slogan LG has brought into this world together with the LG Shine is: "Born to shine" which it certainly does! LG will undoubtedly try to make the LG Shine equally successful as the LG Chocolate or even to surpass the latter's success.

HTC Cruise Review PDF Print E-mail

Saturday, 29 March 2008

Sample ImagePocket PCs have been keeping us busy these days. Just as we gave you LG KS20, it's time for our one-on-one with the HTC Touch Cruise. And hey, are those workhorses getting sexier or what. As one of our readers sharply observed, those devices just don't have to yell corporate or geek any more. One of the best looking Pocket PCs around, the HTC Touch Cruise will surely turn heads. Besides, its feature set is on par with the attire, which explains our eagerness to put it through its paces. Wi-Fi, HSDPA, 2.8" Touchscreen display and a 3 megapixel camera surely make it one of the most loaded devices around. And, not least, we just couldn't wait to rev up the new TouchFLO.

Sony Ericsson W890 review PDF Print E-mail
Written by Mike
Monday, 17 March 2008

Sample ImageThe first Sony Ericsson phone where thin was definitely in was the Sony Ericsson W880i. It was designed with a handful of simple guidelines in mind – they wanted to come up with a slender fashion-savvy device that would do a perfect job as a secondary handset. But it had to bear a hefty price tag at that – a trade off for being eye-candy, wafer-thin and carrying a hyped brand. When the Sony Ericsson W880i only debuted, one didn’t even need to have any lowdown on the maker’s plans to figure out that a successor was coming. In contrast to other SE-branded offerings, this “music-heavy” solution came with no radio onboard, which was nonsense for Sony Ericsson even a year ago. Given the rate which certain models are getting updated at these days, the year we have been waiting for the W890i doesn’t seem all that much.
