At first it was just good enough that the Jesus phone was finally being released, and last year Apps took it to a new level. This time around Apple is counting on under the hood improvements to continue driving iPhone sales. The Apple iPhone 3GS is the latest and greatest, bringing a faster processor, faster internet, increased graphics and an increase in storage. Memory has also been doubled; it’s now available in 16 and 32GB versions, though the 8GB 3G will remain on sale with a new, lower $99 price tag. |

The Nokia N97 is the flagship device of the manufacturer at the moment and Nokia vaunts it as being not only a top of the range device, but a “mobile computer” as well. This certainly gets things rather too far, since computers should be able to cope with wide variety of tasks these days. The Nokia N97 sports quite nice specifications indeed like 3.5-inch touch sensitive screen, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, 3G (HSDPA 3.6Mbps), A-GPS, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar optics, 434 MHz ARM11 processor and 32GB built-in memory plus support for up to 16GB microSDHC expansion cards. Will all this be enough for the Nokia N97 to win over its rivals? This is what we are going to find out on the next several pages. |

Well into 2009, 8-megapixel cell phones have been around for about a year now and we have already thoroughly compared them. Similarly to the slightly belated market entry of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the manufacturer is now taking on the cameraphone niche with their Nokia N86 8MP. It is a double slider like the Nokia N95 and Nokia N85 and is being extolled as a device with superb camera that allows taking of excellent pictures in both natural and artificial lighting conditions. Aside from it, the N86 8MP’s camera is the first in a cell phone with variable aperture. In theory, this would allow better sensitivity to light and improved picture depth. |

Finally, we´ve got the Sony Ericsson Satio in our hands! Well, this is not a final, retail unit, but rather an early prototype. That is why we are coming up with a preview, without passing final judgment. Still, we are more than happy to take a peek at what we will officially have in Q4 this year and can´t wait to get down to the testing. Let´s just first fill you in on the background of the Sony Ericsson Satio though. Actually, Satio is the official name of the device that was, initially, announced as the Sony Ericsson Idou at MWC 2009. |

HTC used to equip their top range smart phones with wide, side sliding, full QWERTY keyboards that seem to have been largely successful, since the first, fifth generation device with the same form factor, the HTC Touch Pro2, has just been released. Unlike its predecessor, it´s larger rather than smaller and brings the round-shape design back into the game, chucking the edgy form all latest handsets of the same manufacturer stake on. The phone sports a huge 3.6-inch screen, awesome 5 row keyboard, mechanism that lets you tilt the display so you can see things better and a bunch of extra business features to drool over. |
