This phone is full of different stylish things such as default screen themes and even packing which is made in a Japanese style. The KG800 itself really reminds me chocolate by its design. By the way LG company has tested its new model on Korean market just before releasing it into Europe and it's gained a great popularity there.
 Appearance and design Dimension: 95 x 18 x 15.2mm; weight: 83g.

The phone has an outstanding appearance and I doubt it can disappoint someone. It's the slimmest and the most attractive black phone I've ever seen. The screen is so big that can’t really see the keys, appart from a silver border around the OK button and a small silver LG icon at the top. There's also a silver strip that separates the top section of the phone from the bottom. The rest of the handset is completely black. The KG800 is made of smooth and pleasant to the touch plastic. It's comfortable to hold and it doesn't slip out. The only think I didn't like is the fact that you can easily see the fingerprints on it . But there are all the necessary cleaning accessories such as trinket with a little strap and a caring case.
The slider's mechanism is quite reliable. To take the battery cover off you should slightly press on it and then pull. The Sim-card should be put into the slot in the same way like in the rest phone. Keypad The main selling point of this phone is the touch sensitive keys, that don't fall inside and at the beginning you can't fell whether you pressed on it or not. But with a time you're getting used to it and your pressing won't be so hard. And what's interesting that you can't use stylus, pencil or any handy things, because sensitive keys response only to finger touch.
The bright red colors look so effective. Pressing the navigation keys you're going to see such predefined shortcut functions as: the RIGHT key – the quick menu (Messages menu, check your voicemail messages, schedule an appointment in the Organizer or schedule an Alarm), LEFT key - the Profile shortcut menu, the UP key- Favorites menu which is a list of shortcuts which is user-configurable, and the DOWN key - the Phonebook list.
Digital keypad is not very comfortable as the buttons are too close to each other. They are made of glamour matte plastic.
Additional buttons There is a volume button on the left side of the phone and you can also use it as a up/down button, and on the opposite side are hang-up and Camera activation/ MP3 buttons located.
You will ask me why the do you need a hang-up button on the side? That's because you can stop your conversation pressing this button on the front pannel. As for me, I find it very weird and uncomfortable! Display With display I'm quite satisfied! The picture is very bright and clear, even in the sun you can easily make out what's written there. But unfortunately resolution is not very big!
Functionality Camera 1280 x 960 (1,2Mp), flash, video recorder
The camera’s lens is protected inside the slider mechanism and is supplemented by a self portrait mirror and flash. It shoots stills at up to 1.3-megapixels, which is starting to feel rather long in the tooth compared to the two and 3-megapixel camera enabled phones available. You can change the resolution (72х72,176х220,320х240,640х480,1280х960), picture quality, white balance, and also use different effects. For taking picture it's better to use MP3 button rather than OK sensor key.
Sizes, Ports and Slots This handset has a new kind of port for LAG which is universal and is going to be used in all model in future.

Menu The main menu is a 3x3 grid of icons, which gives way to a list-based menu that also provides tabbed access back to the main menu options. Sub-menus are displayed full screen, rather than in a pop-up box like many other brands of handset. Two themes are provided out of the box, giving the choice of either black or white, and there is no way of installing new themes. There are only 4 default ring tones and you cannot enlarge the list, unfortunately .

The Message memory can fit up to 150 SMS. The maximum size of MMS of midi format and e-mails is 100kb each that is not enough. The KG800 provides a phone book with a capacity of 1000, but it's not too functional. In one entry you can store name, 3 phone numbers, email, fax, 1 of the 7 default groups, picture and a ring-tone.What I really don't like in this phone is the lack of phone call duration. Additional software includes a calendar, alarm clock, unit converter, support for email, voice recorder, WAP browser, and just one game - a Sudoku variant. All standard stuff.

Friendly speaking I didn't like the audio quality on the MP3 player- it was loud but lacked bass and sounded tinny. But I general it's ok.

Battery life is acceptable - it's quoted at around 360 minutes' talk time and 200 hours on standby.
